Virtual comunities
A virtual
community is a social network of
individuals who interact through specific social media,
potentially crossing geographical and political boundaries in order to pursue
mutual interests or goals. Some of the most pervasive virtual communities are online
communities operating under social networking
services.
The term virtual community is
attributed to the book of the same title by Howard
Rheingold. Rheingold points out
the potential benefits for personal psychological well-being, as well as for
society at large, of belonging to a virtual community.

It is amazing how virtual networks can help us to know about other people and their cultures. With this tool of the virtual social networks me have the opportunity to expand our knowledge of how people in others sides of the world lives and what likes do they have.
It can also contribute to know more about the choices we can make so we can feel identificated with one group of people or with another, because of our likes, habits, tends, cloth, etc.
